Merveilleux!
27:30 So Schoenberg said his real master wasn't Wagner, it was Brahms, because Brahms truly is the composer of intricate, self referential puzzles. ...To quote the late, great Johnny Carson, "I did not know that."
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I think the people of the 1930s weren't ready for this, but their grandchildren are gonna love it!
That quote at the beginning is from Francis Bacon's 'The New Atlantis' "Dude was turned on!" in the 17th Century.
This is a good, 2008 prog.; however, I remember an earlier prog., also titled with the Bacon quote. Is it on YT somewhere?

One of the most beautiful things to greet my ears.
Messiaen didn't have synesthesia; at a certain age, while being surrounded by stained glass and music in a church, he convinced himself that sounds and colors were related intrinsically and that he could percieve that relation independently: ruclips.net/video/Az_TM3QlTG0/видео.html
I'm picking up good vibrations...
I think I'm wrong about this but does anyone else get the sense that at 52:49 she's being sarcastic as h*ll?

A pioneer of electronic music, I love her work, great documentary.
The real Hell Granny...said in a positive way.
Half legendary and half weird, she draws partitions and works months or years for something that does not sound much different than anybody take a 500 (or 200) $ synth and lets two oscillators drone along. Artists. Though absolutely love what she says about 11:14 about listening. Of course i love a person that age spend their time with stuff like that. Hope i will be the same.
Lol you all scared of cartoon crow 🤣
It's a shame the world is still run by men, and suppressing the potential of half the population. What a waste.
still love it!!
